CIFP Full-time Scholarship

INCEIF is offering scholarships to outstanding candidates to pursue the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) Full-time Programme commencing January 2010, in Kuala Lumpur.

Scholarship applicants for the CIFP programme should be fluent in English and have an honours degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.30 or equivalent professional qualification in any discipline. Graduates from Sciences, Engineering, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Law and IT disciplines are encouraged to apply. Application is to be submitted online via http://www.inceif.org/apply_cifp/

Limited scholarships covering tuition fees and living allowance are available. For international students, this includes airfare between Kuala Lumpur and home country.   • Excellent academic achievements
  • Students who have successfully been offered the course of study (listed above) in any local public universities
  • Must not be bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or rewards from other educational institutions, organizations or foundations

Requirements for the 2 positions are:

Position 1:

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with honours, preferably 2nd class upper or above
  • Good computer programming skill or proficient in the C programming language (or it's derivatives such as C++ and Java).
  • Good understanding of Networking (LAN, WAN), optimization, artificial intelligence and probability and statistics.
  • Knowledge of socket programming would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of network simulator would also help.

KANEKA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

KANEKA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD is a scholarship offered by Kaneka Corporation. It is a corporation which is a diversified company with over 50 years of experience in the manufacturing of various products including chemicals, polymer, plastic resin, foodstuff, pharmaceuticals, electrical & electronic materials and synthetic fibers worldwide. Kaneka has extended the creation of valuable products, technologies and services using our

manufacturing companies on a 98 acres land at Gebeng in Kuantan, Pahang.

The Kaneka Scholarship Award intends to promote higher education by offering financial aid to qualified students, who are pursuing full-time degree course in Japanese or Chemical Engineering studies at the University of Malaya, so that they can focus to strive for excellence.

Eligibility :

  • A Malaysian citizen
  • Has completed first year of undergraduate study and achieved a minimum CGPA of 3.0

Terms of Award :

The sponsored undergraduates will be required to do their practical training
at Kaneka plant in Kuantan, Pahang.

Award Tenure

The scholarship is tenable for the minimum period of study related to the
program registered by the student (excluding first year of study).

Award Amount

The amount of scholarship awarded is RM8,500 per academic year.

Criteria of selection are based on the following:
  • Academic Achievement 50%
  • Extra-curricular Achievement 10%
  • Essay 10%
  • Interview Results 30%

Mexican Government Scholarships for Foreigners 2010

The Government of Mexico, under its scholarship programme for foreign
nationals 2010, is offering two places for eligible Malaysians to
pursue postgraduate studies in Mexican Institutions of Higher
Education for academic year 2010.

The two scholarships available to Malaysians come under the bilateral
cooperation programme between Mexico and Malaysia. A full list of
these scholarships, the names of the recipients Mexican institutions,
