Utrecht Excellence Scholarships

Eligible candidates: Highly talented prospective students from non-EU/EEA countries
Amount of scholarship: Max. tuition fee + 11.000 euro living expenses per year
Number of scholarships/year: Approximately 2 for the Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Economics and approximately 5 for Liberal Arts & Sciences at University College Utrecht
Provided by: Utrecht University and alumni of Utrecht University
Deadline: It is not possible to apply for the scholarship, but the selection committees review the application files for possible nominees.
Prospective Bachelor's students in Economics and Business Economics who wish to be considered for the scholarship should apply for admission before 1 April. Different procedures apply for Liberal Arts & Sciences at University College Utrecht, please proceed to the UCU website.

Aim of the programme

The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship offers a number of highly talented prospective students the opportunity to pursue a degree in a selected number of fields at Utrecht University:

  • Liberal Arts & Sciences at University College Utrecht (different procedures apply for UCU applicants, please proceed to the UCU website)
The scholarship programme is highly selective. Only candidates showing the highest achievement and promise may receive a scholarship.

Swedish Institute Study Scholarship

The Swedish Institute Study Scholarship provides a number of full scholarships for master’s programmes in Sweden. The programme is open to students who are citizens of countries on the OECD/DAC list. The programme offers a unique opportunity for future leaders to develop professionally and academically, to experience Swedish society and culture and to build a long-lasting relationship with Sweden and each other.

APU Tuition Reduction Scholarship

APU Tuition Reduction Scholarships are offered in percentages of 30%, 50%, 65%, 80% and 100%, and cover the least amount of academic credits needed to graduate within the standard period of time. These scholarships are made available by the financial contributions of domestic and international companies and individuals, together with the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), to support the ideals of APU, with the purpose of helping to reduce the financial burden for outstanding international students of lesser financial means.

Eligibility

Individuals who will obtain a student visa (as described in the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act) before enrollment are eligible to apply this scholarship. In the case that your student visa application is not approved by the Japanese Immigration Bureau or you enroll at APU under another type of visa, your scholarship will be revoked.

Requirements
  • Obtained at least 3As in the recent STPM or equivalent (eg: A-Levels, Matriculation, Foundation, Diploma)
  • A good command of English, leadership qualities, right values and character, drive, and commitment to excel
  • Gained acceptance into any of the above mentioned institutions at time of interview to pursue a full-time first degree programme
  • Demonstrate the need for financial assistance (eg: Supporting financial documents)
  • Willing to serve the Gamuda Group for a specified period upon graduation
  • Must not be a recipient of a scholarship, loan or financial assistance from any other organization

Maybank Islamic Finance Sponsorship Award 2014

Achieve your aspirations with Maybank Islamic Finance Sponsorship Award. This award aims to provide deserving young graduates an opportunity to pursue the Masters Islamic Finance Professional (MIFP) qualification exclusively at the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Sponsorship includes full coverage of tuition fees and monthly living allowance for the duration of the course. Successful candidates would have completed their Bachelors Degree in Islamic Finance, Shariah Studies, LLB (Law) with Shariah or Islamic Economics. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and assessment in October 2014. This award is open to all Malaysians as well as students fromIndonesia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

Awareness Scholarships by CFA

Awareness Scholarships are designated for key influencers in the academic and financial communities.
Award
Reduce the CFA Program enrollment and exam registration fee (includes access to the curriculum eBook) to US$350.*
Award Cycle
Awareness scholarships are awarded as they are received and processed.
  • Recipients of the June scholarship may only apply it to the upcoming June exam (Levels I, II, and III).
  • Recipients of the December scholarship may only apply it to the upcoming December exam (Level I).
