Access Scholarships by CFA

Access Scholarships provide needs-based scholarship opportunities for those unable to afford the full price of the CFA Program enrollment and registration fees.
Award
Waive the CFA Program enrollment fee and reduce the exam registration fee (includes access to the curriculum eBook) to US$250.*
Award Cycle
Access scholarships are awarded in December to be applied to exams in the following year. If awarded, the recipient can apply the scholarship to the
  • June exam (Levels I, II, and III) or
  • December exam (Level I only)

In collaboration with our member societies around the world, Access Scholarships are being awarded beginning with the 2013 exam cycle.
Over 2,600 scholarships will be awarded to CFA Program applicants each calendar year.
Note: Scholarship applicants who register for an exam while their Access Scholarship application is pending will be deemed ineligible and their application will be voided. However, scholarship applicants may purchase the curriculum separately by contacting us. After scholarship notifications occur in December, credit will be given for the advance purchase curriculum to applicants who register for an exam.
  • Once you submit your scholarship application, changes cannot be made.
  • If a candidate's financial situation changes, Access Scholarship applicants can withdraw their application from consideration before 1 November of the year in which they submit their application.
  • If you receive a scholarship and register, you must sit for the exam in the relevant exam year awarded or you may be ineligible for future Access Scholarships.

MALAYSIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (MIS)

The Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) is an initiative by the Malaysian Government to attract the best brain from around the world to pursue advanced academic studies in Malaysia. This scholarship aims to support Malaysian Government's effort to attract, motivate and retain talented human capital from abroad. Talented international students with excellent academic records and outstanding co-curricular backgrounds are welcomed to apply for this scholarship and further their studies in any selected and well-established Malaysian public and private universities

MALAYSIAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION PROGRAMME (MTCP)

The MTCP Scholarship Award provides opportunities for students to pursue advanced academic study in Malaysia. This scholarship is a Government-to Government scheme without any bond imposed by Malaysia. Scholarships are intended for promising men and women who may be expected to make a significant contribution to their own countries on their return from study abroad. The Malaysian Government offers up to 40 MTCP Scholarships each year. The scholarship are available for post-graduate studies at Masters and Ph.D level tenable at any Malaysian public university, and are available to citizens of the MTCP participating countries. The duration of the award is 36 to 42 months for Ph.D and between 12 to 24 months for Masters programme.

    Bright Sparks Scheme University of Malaya /Skim Bright Sparks Universiti Malaya (SBSUM)

    Application for BSP is open to all qualified candidates who fulfill the established criteria irrespective of whether the candidate is a student/graduate of UM or other universities.
    The age of the candidate must not exceed 35 years at the time of application.
    The qualified candidate may apply for the BSP through one of the following pathways:
    • A candidate who has completed his/her Bachelor’s degree with distinction.
    • A candidate who is currently pursuing a PhD or has recently completed his/her Master's degree and has published in high quality ISI journals.
    • A post PhD candidate (internal or external) who has published in high quality ISI journals.
